Halloween Candy Slide

During Halloween of 2020, a friend wanted a way to give out candy to kids, but stay socially distanced. His theme was "Evil Candy Factory" and we came up with the idea of a long PVC tube wrapped in color-changing LEDs.

A kid would stand next to the "Free Samples" box and say "Trick or Treat!" The person at the top of the tube pressed a button to trigger the animation and sound effect, and dropped a bag of treats into the tube so it landed in sync with the "Ding!" sound effect.

I wrote an Arduino program to animate the LEDs and play the sound effects, and built the control box.
